Hajime Rising Lock-On: Middle Click and Targeting

Use middle click for lock-on

  • Targeting input: Middle click is the official PC lock-on control.
  • Keep aiming: Head/body aim and left/right punch inputs still have separate jobs.

Lock-on is a targeting action

Middle click is the Hajime Rising PC lock-on input. Use it as part of targeting an opponent, then keep track of the punch and aim you want to use. It is a different action from selecting jabs, hooks or uppercuts, and it does not choose the punching hand for you.

The official description pairs lock-on with looking up for headshots and down for bodyshots. That makes the useful next question straightforward: once you have a target, where are you aiming? Keep those actions separate in practice instead of assuming a targeted opponent makes every click the same attack.

Check the other choices when the punch feels wrong

If you intended a particular attack, ask whether the active type was correct first. Z selects jabs, X hooks and C uppercuts. Then consider the hand you used and whether your aim was high or low. That gives you a specific control to practise after the targeting input feels familiar.

Avoid changing stance, punch type and aim together while learning the targeting control. A small drill with one selected type is easier to follow. Once the targeting action is familiar, the head-versus-body guide adds the next deliberate choice.

If the opponent is the target you intended but the attack was wrong, return to punch selection. If the hand was wrong, keep the type selected and practise the mouse input. That small check gives the next attempt a purpose instead of repeatedly changing every control.
