Hajime Rising Tips: Controls, Training and Spending

Pick the improvement that fits your last fight

  • Inputs first: Separate the selected punch, punching hand and head/body aim.
  • Prepare deliberately: Choose a training or recovery task for the problem you actually had.

A missed action is a useful practice target

The most useful Hajime Rising tip is to know which part of an action went wrong. If you wanted a hook but selected a jab, practise the X selection before worrying about a different stance. If you selected the right punch but used the wrong hand, focus on the mouse input instead.

Hajime Rising: learning the boxing gameThe first-session fight shows why it helps to separate control familiarity from stamina and character progression.

Use a short practice goal instead of changing everything at once. Try selecting one punch type reliably, then choosing the hand, then adjusting your aim. This is a learning recommendation, not a promised damage combination. The controls reference is more useful here than memorising an imagined universal combo.

Give each training detour a reason

Bag work develops Technique, jump rope develops Speed, and roadwork develops Stamina. When a skill-tree node stops your progress, its requirement gives that session a concrete purpose. When your first spar ends with little stamina and difficulty throwing punches, stamina development is a more relevant question than clothing colour.

Fatigue during training deserves its own attention. The game displays Energy, Hunger and Thirst alongside its boxing systems. Do not automatically treat every low meter as the same condition. Keeping a session manageable is better than rushing from one exhausted exercise to another without noticing what changed.

Keep yen and rerolls attached to a goal

Food, treatment and outfits compete for your attention in the city. Leave room in your spending plan for the activity you want next, especially if you have just finished a fight and want treatment. Use the actual displayed price rather than copying a cost from somebody else's character.

For rerolls, decide what you are trying to change before spending tokens. A different appearance does not teach the punch inputs. For an early session, getting comfortable with the fighter you have is a reasonable choice. The training progression guide adds the exercise and skill-point relationships behind a more focused plan.
