A shop purchase and an equipped outfit are different tasks

Hajime Rising's opening city visit buys a tracksuit, then opens M to find the backpack while working out how to equip it. If you have made a clothing purchase and are still looking at the shop, move to the equipment interface rather than buying the same item again out of confusion.

Keep track of the item you actually chose. Use the backpack's relevant clothing option for that item and finish its available equipment action. The useful result is the outfit you intended, rather than another purchase made while you are still looking for the right interface.

Use M when the problem is finding your equipment

The main-menu guide explains M and the purposes of its different destinations. Clothing belongs to the backpack task; Codes redemption and the Pro License are other menu jobs. Recognising that distinction helps you go straight to the item instead of searching every progression screen.

Once the outfit is arranged, return to the activity you planned. A clothing trip can be a cosmetic goal of its own, but it does not need to replace tutorial practice, training or a hospital visit you wanted after a fight.

Set a spending limit before browsing

Choose how much yen you want to keep available for other city needs before shopping. Food and treatment are separate purchase decisions, so a reserve can help you avoid spending the whole balance on an outfit when you meant to continue another task.

Use the actual price attached to the item you are considering. Different clothing choices do not become equivalent merely because they are in the same store. Keep the purchase name and the backpack task connected, then leave the shop visit with the specific outfit decision finished.
