Hajime Rising Headshots: Aim Up and Control Your Punch
Look up for headshots
- Aim: The official headshot instruction is to look up.
- Keep the punch deliberate: Choose the punch type and hand separately from target height.
Raise your aim for the head
To aim for headshots in Hajime Rising, look up. The official control list puts this beside middle-click lock-on and the separate bodyshot instruction. Keep your selected punch in mind while changing aim: looking higher is the targeting choice, while Z, X or C still selects the attack type.
Start by changing only aim while keeping a familiar punch selected. If you also swap stance and use an equipped skill on every attempt, it becomes harder to recognise which action you intended. The immediate practice goal is a controlled head-directed attack, rather than a claimed universal damage result.
Do not let the headshot label replace the rest of the controls
Left and right click choose the punching hand. A hook selection needs X, and an uppercut selection needs C after its unlock. Head aim can be considered alongside those decisions; it does not make an unavailable skill available or turn every mouse click into the same move.
When you want a different target, look down for bodyshots. The head-versus-body comparison keeps the two aim instructions together and explains a practical way to practise the change. Use that next if you are repeatedly aiming at the same height without intending to.
Once high aim feels deliberate, compare it with a lower body-directed attempt using the same punch. The difference you are learning is target height; keep the hand and type familiar while making it. Bring that controlled action into a spar after it feels familiar in practice.
