Hajime Rising Skill Tree: Unlock Moves and Follow Branches

Last updated 2026-11-02Unofficial player article

Use training points and the actual prerequisites

  • Tutorial moves: Hook and Uppercut are separate skill-tree unlocks.
  • Later branches: Follow earlier nodes and training requirements before choosing the next unlock.

Find the move your current task asks for

Open the Hajime Rising skill tree when the tutorial requests Hook or Uppercut. Unlock that named move, then return to its practice task. Learning its key and acquiring the move are two different steps: X selects hooks, and C selects uppercuts after the corresponding unlock.

Hajime Rising gym and progressionThe playthrough follows several tree nodes, returns to training for a requirement and later works toward a stance.

Training supplies skill points, so a gym session has a progression role beyond punch practice. Start with a move you actually want to use. Choosing a node because it answers the next tutorial task is easier to act on than buying unrelated skills without a practice plan.

Read branches as a sequence of separate goals

The tree includes a Hook-to-Alternative-Hooks route toward Brawler, and an Uppercut-to-Full-Body-Uppercut sequence. Those are useful branch names to recognise. A previous move can matter alongside training requirements, so having points does not make every later node the same decision.

When a desired node is unavailable, separate its earlier-move requirement from its stat requirement. Finish the relevant prerequisite or choose the exercise that develops the needed stat. Keep your own displayed node requirements attached to that specific unlock instead of applying one character's goal to every skill.

Unlock a move you will practise

Infighter Dash and Weaving add different controls to the opening lessons: the former is demonstrated with gloves and Q, while unlocked Weaving uses Space. Give a newly acquired action a little practice time before adding the next one.

The skill-unlock priority comparison offers an editorial learning order for Hook, Uppercut, Infighter Dash and Weaving. Use it for a practice decision, then come back to the tree for the actual node. The comparison serves a different purpose from a complete list of skill costs or a promise that every branch can be acquired at once.
