Hajime Rising Controls: PC Keys and Mouse Inputs

Last updated 2026-11-02Unofficial player article

PC boxing inputs

  • Select, then punch: Use Z/X/C for jab, hook or uppercut; use left/right click for the hand.
  • Aim and switch: Middle click locks on, T changes equipped stance, and M opens the menu.

Separate selection keys from punch buttons

Hajime Rising PC controls divide punch type and punching hand. Pressing Z, X or C selects a type; the mouse buttons throw the left- or right-handed punch. Keep that distinction clear when you are learning a new move, particularly a Hook or Uppercut that first needs its skill-tree unlock.

Add unlocked movement without mixing its role

The tutorial also demonstrates Infighter Dash with gloves equipped and Q, plus unlocked Weaving with Space. These actions belong to their own unlocks. They should not be mistaken for the three basic punch-selection keys or the E/R equipped-skill bindings.

Start practice with one input group. Choose a punch type, throw it with the intended hand, then add head or body aim. Introduce stance switching after you can recognise the action you are already using. This makes a missed input easier to correct than pressing every skill key at the start of a spar.

Open M for the game's own menu and controls when you need the current in-game reference. For what the three punch choices mean during practice, continue to the punch-types comparison. For a complete opening sequence, use the beginner guide.
